USA Pro Cycling Challenge

The inaugural event held in August 2011 pitted the picturesque beauty of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains against 135 of cycling’s top athletes, and tested them over 518 miles, 11 cities and seven days of high-altitude competition at elevations of up to 12,000 feet. Ranking as one of the largest cycling successes in the U.S., the Challenge took riders through famous ski areas such as Aspen, Vail, Breckenridge and Steamboat Springs before winding up in Denver. Organizers are considering adding more cities for the 2012 edition.
